So far as I know, this should work except for the user's profile icon.
The icon edit is a bug.

Is there a patch for this bug yet?
I found a trac ticket #984 mentions this, but I can't get to the trac site. Each time I click the trac link, I'm presented with the login box. Am I doing something wrong, or is this maybe just fallout from the recent server outage?

Yes, it is. Trac is not back up yet. Should be soon.
