Yep, it's my own community site. I'm continuing to tweak it as I do a soft-launch, and the feedback I'm hearing from the users is the same. Here's my profile on the site. (See your Messages for a an account login.)
I would suspect the server, except that the problem isn't the load-time. It's that once it's loaded, my interaction with the page just slows to a crawl.
My interaction with your profile on this website, by the way, is up to par.
I just loaded your site and it moved along rather well for me and this computer is not that great.
So because your site runs pretty good then I would look back at the computer. It should be fine because it is new as you say. So hardware should be fine.
I would look at the applications you have running on your computer as well as your browser type and version as well.
Thats all I can think of
