Please check the server logs
recent server entry after trying to register a new user. Most of the lines show these same lines

- smam added a new discussion topic add an image next to Title of site in the group General Discussion
- smam replied on the discussion topic Custom index need for elggBook plugin

This is the bundled plugin, i.e. it's already in your Elgg.
You can find it named as 'Front Page Demo' in your Plugins page.
I dont see it listed under plugins, Im running 3.3.21 version
