Try manually copying the link instead of clicking on it. Some email programs break the link.

If you remember your username, go to 'forgot password' and retrieve your password from there.

If you don't remeber your username either, login to your CPanel, go to PhpMyAdmin and access the database for your installation. I am not sure which table but, you can view your username there. Maybe it is something like 'users entity', not sure ... then retrieve the password with the method mentioned above.

Go to ---->

1. localhost/phpmyadmin

2. your Elgg Database

3.then go to user_entity table

4. then username with respective email id will be there , select the one and,

5. Then Edit it.. Remember while Editing password select the function to MD5.
