How can I add a field to the list? Or do I have to start from scratch again? I wonder because there isn't an option to simply add s certain field.

In my new community 3 of 9 people didn't found out where to change their avatar. It seems hard to find this setting.
    • He hasn't added it yet - give him a chance to do it.

    • jededitor, regarding putting the spotlight at the top of the page. I did it too, but for that what I did is create a copy of the views/default/page_elements/header_contents.php and in that file I simply included the spotlight code so that it is present in the top of the page.

I wonder though, if there's a more elegant way of doing it? Because this way, I'm not really extending any view, css or whatever but rather I'm basing the plugin on elgg's default header_contents.php or rather my theme's header_contents.php - is that a good idea? is there a better way of doing that?
