A important note: Your plugin works perfectly with cash's PHP Mailer Plugin. If your plugin is below PHP Mailer, it handles the mail and, after five minutes, calls PHP Mailer and send e-mails through SMTP.
With this solution, e-mails sent from ELGG sites are delivered with the correct e-mail address in the place of "nobody@yoursite.com". Mail Queue and SMTP support is the best of both worlds. :)
Does anyone know how to get this to work? There are no instructions anywhere. I'm not even to sure what this plugin goes.
will this que messages that send using elgg_send_email() through a cron...? anyone plesae help me out...
That is more than likely, not going to happen since they jumped to 1.8 but the custodians of the code would have to say for sure.
The comment was put in there by the previous core developers and has been in there since at least Elgg 1.5. If we remove it, we'll deprecate it first so you'll have a few versions of advance warning.
Ok Thanks
