haloo all. I'm elgg newbie. When i install my elgg on 000freespace i found that elgg must be install at subdirectory for 'data' folder reason. For other services and plugins its ok, but twitter_api don't work, so soialconnect, sociallogins...

  Twitter had an API upgrade, so some social connect plugins will not work because of the new changes. I think the core twitter connect will work, I'm not entirely sure.

  But Elgg 1.8.15 Twitter API core plugin is works very well, incl. Sign in with Twitter and Post to Twitter via Wire.
  
  Your issue is linked with your shared hosting, bcz provider may to restrict some In/Out calls and services
  
  And second reason is non-updated plugins that you're using.
