Is there a plugin that allows to select users that can see content of a page and have the menu item tab visible to those selected members and not visible to those that are not selected?

  You can try the roles framework and create your own role (or premium user) to make this. It is kinda easy to do this, the framework has a manual that you can use.

I'm using http://community.elgg.org/plugins/793831/1.6.1/chat-plugin-frei-chat-for-elgg-18x only problem is i need it too work with mobile devices too and i'm usinf a responsive theme if not a way to disable the chat in mobile view? view reply

Any one know of a good plugin or willing to build one that I can use to have user post pictures of there cars and along with there defined specs or mods similar to building profile fields??? Also has to be able to have comments and 5 star...

  Well Tidypics has a text box where users can put that. Or you can use the files plugin and add extra fields

I'd like to make a menu item to a link that is only visible to user=admin "friends" and invisible to all other users! Or a menu tab that is given access to certain users and invisible to others..? ex. I have a blog page that is only to friends but...

  I felt the same a few months back and have learnt a lot with the help of some great Elggers on here.
  I started by by doing this hello world widget tutorial http://docs.elgg.org/wiki/Tutorials/HelloWorld and reading the plugin development pages that Juho linked to.

Is there a plugin that has been extened of core messages? What i'm looking for is one that shows that ur message has been read when sent out?? Or there a way to make it show all sent messages if they have been read by the recipient?
