Hi!
Well, you could add the google translate button on a view of your theme. For instance, I've done it in the past by pasting the code in the sidebar view, so that it is always available to users. For the frontpage you might wanna read more about theming in the elgg docs

Hi @rjcalifornia thanks for your reply. I actually saw a comment by you awhile ago about doing this though I am not too sure on how to do it honestly. I searched for sidebar in my cPanel but tons of files came up in the directory Views. Do you know the specific file I should be editing? Thanks
