The form and related plugins (including flexprofile) use the Elgg search system, which supports exact tag matches only. So, yes, you can create search forms (see the Form plugin README.txt for that), but you cannot search between two values.
Of course, if your age field was a dropdown and one of the values was "between 25 and 35", then the search system would work for that.
