  Elgg needs to know where it's installed to load files correctly, so you can't install it somewhere then move it. You'll need to follow these directions to move an installation: http://docs.elgg.org/wiki/DuplicateInstallation
  Is there any quick fix to elgg so that I can open it on any network?
  The quickest answer is to install it on a public server.
