I have tried it and meanwhile I was copiying the exact Data which made elgg 1.7.10 connect to LDAP in the LDAP-Settings of 1.8 it could not connect and authenticate any in my LDAP-Server registered user. Please test the LDAP-Plugin for... view reply

OK, with the help of the php.log-files I was able to find and solve the problem, which was an entry in the plugincode a technical support has made trying to make LDAP work. Finaly it only works with the original code. ;-) Now LDAP works fine even... view reply
  • fahl5 replied on the discussion topic Problem with LDAP authentication plugin
Hi Maher, I got the same error, when I put the whole "ldap_auth"-folder in the mod-directory. If you still find another "ldap_auth"-folder inside the one in your mod-directory, than this will be the reason of the "misconfiguration".... view reply

I set up the MNET integration between Elgg and Moodle as described in the install.txt. I sucessfully found my peers aswell in Moodle as in Elgg, but when I try to SSO from Elgg 1.7.10 to Moodle 2.0.3, by chosing the Peer-Link in the Mnet...
    • OK, this is solved since I checked in Moodle the sso-settings and made Moodle subscribe elgg-authentication and published service provider (in the settings of the elgg-peer in moodle).

I am trying to configure elgg for Ldap-Authentication with "ldap_auth" and an Open-Ldap-Server. I succesfully setup with professional Help Ldap-Authentication with this server to Drupal. Moodle, ILIAS, and Mediawiki. When I tried it with elgg,...
    • update: here are the erroralerts I receive trying to log in with ldap-userdata:

If I disabled the create user setting the alert starts with: "Your credentials are valid, but no account was found..."

If I enabled the create user setting the alert starts with: "An account could not get created for you"

Are there perhaps any security-relevant settings the provider might have chosen for my webspace,  that might prevent elgg from creating the Useraccounts?

At least I have checked the properties of the datafolder, which I tested enough to know, that they could not be the reason that prevent creation of useraccount.

      I hope anyone might help
