It is OSS, and not everyone can/will contribute. Just be appreciative of those that do.
@ Matt Beckett , I agree with you 100 percent. Elgg is an OSS. Not everyone will be happy with it. If someone needs help, they should be careful how they ask for help. Even though spam supporters will like to use various tactics to lure elgg members or developers to visit spam sites, Elgg developers and member's dreams will live on and will endure forever. I am not attacking Kimberly!, But wisdom calls for response wherever need arises. Thanks to all Elgg community, developers, and members for long hours that you clock in for the common citizens.
@ hellekin "very user friendly" and "customizations" and "enhancements". I think Kimberly! Is using sales and marketing language, lingo or marketing terminologies. These are the most common terms that commercial community sites normally use to lure customers or clients to their products or distinguish themselves from the rest of the Open source scripts like Elgg even when the truth is --- most commercial sites out there have low quality products as compared to Open source scripts like Elgg.
i love elgg and those who contribute and give us amazing plugins for free. attacking kimberly is not exactly what intended. just iratates me when people waste others time begging for spoon fed code, instead of putting in the effort and trying to learn. if you want code with no effort and somebodys elses time, there is a commercial group of some sort here isnt there?
Devs time wouldnt be better spent helping those actually trying to give back or learn something, in my opinion. I dont contribute much to elgg as my coding experience = 0, but i learned early that i need to try things myself and then ask what i am doing wrong as opposed to just saying "code this for me".
I apologize if i was out of line
"Page" wording is implemented via the language file of the page plugin. The wording can be changed by modifying the language file / or better overwriting the language string content via a plugin. Within this plugin you need to define a language string array like it's done in the other language files and include all language strings you want to change. Placing your plugin below the page plugin will overwrite the original language strings due to its higher priority. If you're lucky, all language strings you need to modify are included in the language file of the page plugin. If a few happen to be included in other language files, you still can overwrite them all by redefining their content within the array of your re-wording plugin.
