In case anyone wants to forward directly to the users profile that logged in, the code is

forward("profile/$username");

The best option is to create an eventhandler for login and then do the forward to the desired URL.

@slyhne - I wish I knew how to update the maintenance mod for 1.8.  I really need that mod and have nad no response from the person that wrote it.  I hope that another user adapts it for 1.8.

@Frank I worked out the incompatibilities with the maintenance mod last night. I will upload a 1.8 version in a while... its early for me and I need coffee... but when I get into the office I'll pack it up and upload it.

I have tried others for 1.7 but nothing seems to work.

Elgg 1.8 is still in beta so not too many plugins are available for it yet. Once we release 1.8.0 final the number of plugins should increase.
