I only replaced the two files mentioned in the upgrade instructions, didn't overwrite whole install, so no problem there.
It can't be my server settings, as I use vanilla forum on the same server in a different location with no problems.
I am baffled, so if anyone has any thoughts on this, I would be most grateful!
Ah, in that case I really have no idea as the plugin works fine for me with no speed issues.
I think you are going to have to find someone who has had similar issues with the plugin on their server and has discovered a fix.
There are also tools to monitor http activity and code performance, etc. But that is pretty difficult server administration stuff.
