I think "user point" plugin can handle this. Give one point for each action and your done

You can get the count by passing a count=>true in elgg_get_entities(). Search before you ask.

Thank you Matt, that is exactly what I was looking for. Appreciated! Do you mind if I look onto your plugin's source and maybe change a couple of things? I'm not yet very familiar with elgg so looking into a already made plugin would help me with the basics.

It's not my plugin, but all plugins on this site are released under a GPL v2 compatible license so you can do pretty much anything you want with them.

Though, if you're wanting to get familiar with Elgg I don't think the roles plugins are a place to start - they'll be on the extremely advanced side of things.
