    • ? not me talkie w. 'Steve'; but i commented to Andras abt 'taking over'  lolz;-P
      I've not played w/ Roles plugin in a 'Prod'  Env;
      I think what you wan't can most likely be done with Roles, etc plugins..
      You'll just need to to go over the details of your requirements
      to determine how the Plugin/s will need to deployed w/out headaches.

    • ha..  ok seemd the case. Well as it is very straightforward (for you perhaps). The system is not public and will run only when you log in, I have four types of users I need to implement

      three levels of access: staff members (employees), clients (external login), staff admin (managers) and client group admin (client accounts managers).
      site runs privately restricted to logged in users.

      the staff admins to control the group admins & staff members but not super user access.

      1. staff user (employee) - general company info. may be assigned as a staff administrator or a client group administrator. dont see groups or cannot access group not a member off.
      2. staff administrator - (like an operator also multiple groups) add, delete or edit staff users, groups and content, assign staff members to staff administrators or client group administrators
      3. client - (like a 'private 'user) - view only the group and contents that he/she is assigned to (including the event calender, pages, files to download, photos). client can only see the group assigned to
      4. client group administrator - create or delete or edit group, members etc. group administrator may or not be a staff administrator.
      5. site administrator - super user with full access.

      ive loaded the latest plugins as above for 1.8.6 and only 'group tools', 'group administrator for roles 'and 'roles' seem to be working fine. 'moderators for roles' you need to assign as an admin to be able to edit content, which i dont want staff to have super user access, just 'staff admin' access.

      so i was thinking.. a client is like a 'private access', 'logged in' users access like the staff members, might delete public access which leaves 'friends' access.
