I'm excited to hear a roles plugin is in the works.  However, I can't find it in the SVN listed above by Uddhava.  Any suggestions where I might be able to download it to try it out?

Just checking in to see if anyone knows where to find the roles plugin. Any suggestions?

It was deleted, because "its not ready for release"... You should be able to go back in time to restore a previous SVN version. Or i have the file, send me your email.

I encountered this one recently, but the table name is different on my Elgg installed version.
Release - 1.5, Version - 2009072201

I had to add an underscore in the table name

UPDATE elgg_config SET value = 's:1:"0"' WHERE name = 'https_login' ;

That's becaue when you installed Elgg, you specified your table prefix as "elgg_" rather than "elgg"   ;-)
