allows container (group or profile) to be set for elgg entities (blogs, videos etc) by adding a dropdown selector to the entity's edit/save page.
@Stevan - great ! this is exactly what I was looking for. thank you ! may I please ask if you know if there is a way to tweak the code to allow a user to assign blog to a group, even though that user is not a group member?

It can be done, but it's not an easy tweak, you'll have to build plugin for that.
