Hi,I tried to install Elgg following the documentation. Installation worked. but then i was asked to fill up the system settings. When i did so, i was redirected to /action/systensettings/  which was actually a 404 There's no dir called...

      ;-)

be polite and write some detailed notes on what problems you discovered and how they were fixed on your site.. it's been 2 days while the experts have been feeding you hekpful hints..

yuo can aslo.. keep up the 'community' spirit ;-O

    • Ok.

Just  used switch programs to switch to Apache from lightpd.

and then added mod_require. that's all

Thanks for the help guys, Specially, Shillo, who has been trying to help from the beginning.

But what i think is elgg should improve the  looks and interface.

The  type of URLs  may also be improved.

    • @strifex..

Good to know it's all sorted.. I can understand your opinion on the look of elgg as a website.. I'm not a big fan of it.. but as a script I know I can create whatever look I want.. as matter of fact, the site project I am working on using elgg does not resemble this site not even remotely.

I know that they ar working on urls.. I think webmasters using elgg will have more options soon.
