have you 'enabled javascript' in your browser's settings ?
"allow all sites to run javascript" is set in all of my web browsers. :)
There really isn't enough menu items for it to need to be expanding and contracting...
If there was an easy way to toggle them all open all the time?
A fresh install of 1.8.14 with only the default mods installed and whatever is enabled by default and the admin menu still does not work :s
I figured I found a top bar extension, the "wordpress bar" It has it's own little admin section, I'm just going to create links in that drop down for all the admin items as the code is a lot easier (heh) and ignore the broken included elgg menu for now I suppose.

I had two different elgg installs. Was doing other things and ignoring them then went and took a shower. Come back and click on the menus and they both work without issue now. Log out, log back in, work without issue. log out, close browser, open browser, same thing, works on all browsers I have installed now too.
Did someone log in remotely and fix it? Ha haha (kidding) ...
