The error messages in the admin section do not vanish automatically. You have to dismiss each of them. So, maybe it's not an error occuring again and again but still the very single error message. Does it re-appear after you dismissed the message box?

You could also flush the site cache and/or "upgrade" your site (i.e. just press the upgrade button). Maybe some fragments of your plugin are still in the cache and therefore causing the error to happen again and again.

Many thanks for your help iionly. I didn't dismiss the error message and now that I have done so, it doesn't come back.  I appreciate your help.  I have alot to learn!!!!
