I experimented a bit with BBB. Its a cinch to install but we were not happy with the screen sharing performance. We were going to integrate it with Elgg but stopped when we encountered this problem. You may want to check out VideoWhisper. They have an Elgg module that works pretty nicely.
(use a Red5 hosted service or run your own RTMP server using Wowza)
I use an SSH control panel.
I just dont know where to place the PDFs in the ELGGv171 file system that I want to display in users Dashboard!
Any idea where in the file system I need to place the content (PDF files) I wish to show users?
TIA
Danny
Dannyy Dannyy Dannnyyyyyyyy :)
did u get my message ?
We have a plugin in elgg that is files
its in the mod/files
I just said to make you aware of the files plugin
but you dont have to place pdf's in there
you have to enable files plugin in the tools administration and you can upload the files from your profile into the files widget
Ask me if you have more troubles with it, I can help as far as my knowledge goes :)

Danny : as Jax said, You need to enable both the files plugin and the Google File Viewer plugin. Place the Google File Viewer under the files plugin in the tools administration. Now go to tools>files>upload, and upload a pdf.
Your info doesnt describe what exactly you need but...
Try this

Aha :-)
Looks promissing.
Basically I need to display a monthly events & news poster which is supplied as a PDF. And I just need to display is in users default Dashboard after they log in.
I will download the Google File Viewer and try to get this working.
Many thanks Jaxcatz.
Danny
Hi Jaxcatz,
The file_viewer plugin has Manifest.xml Start.php View.php files and a Views folder.
Can you help explain to me where I should put these in ELGG1.7.1 file system?
TIA
Danny
