i recommend to update the mass mailer plugin to include a notification setting option and link back to that page.. some of the notification plugins do this.. i'm sure someone else can direct as to exactly where to look - or you can do the search. i would help as i am interested in that add-on too, however, i have too many other issues to resolve presently.

eh that's gonna be more complicated if you want it to affect the entire site. you can accomplish this by jquery where you can use jquery to detect external links (any link other than your elgg domain name). then prepend your adf.ly code before the external link.

there's no easy to do this, you'd have to learn how the wire works or at least some php. look in start.php in the wire's plugin, line 210.
