There is a bug in the code for pull down values in core Elgg 1.7.1 (not in my plugins). It should be fixed in the next core Elgg release.
In a nutshell: you can change the value but when you edit something it will *appear* to be set to the original value when displayed on the form.
But it is in fact changed.
I have the same problem.
I can't access to the Search Page of my form with another user different from the form's creator!
Some solution?
In the search results I need to list the title of the file, at present you only seem to provide
{$_full_view_link}
{$_full_view_link}
{$_full_view_url}
{$_friendlytime}
{$_annotations}
So I require $_title as the file title does not show up in the search results
The title is always displayed at the top of file listings. In flexfile you can only template the *additional* fields that you add to file forms. That does not include the title.
Why would you need to put the title anywhere else?
Oh well my installation is not working then, I don't get a title anywhere on the search results, using Elgg 1.7.1 and forn 0.87 or previous version. Any ideas?
Never mind, I figured it out. I see that the download is a collection of five plugins and that it can't be uploaded as a single mod. You have to upload the five separate folders into the mod directory.
There are five plugins in the zip.
You need to install them separately.
Until this release that was explained in big bold letters on the plugin page.
I've put that text back now:

I see our messages crossed. Anyway, thanks for the reminder to fix the docs.
If you really have deleted the search definition, then it can't be adding to the menu. Have you checked to make sure that the search definition has really been deleted?
You may have another search definition that adds to the menu, or the link may actually be generated by the form itself (under form configuration, you can add create and display links to the menu).
