so would the solution be to update plugins with new page_elements/header?

need to watch the Elgg vers && jquery vers.. ;-)
@Zak, you could do it that way, but the best solution is to not override them at all. If you have, I'm curious as to why you needed to? From looking at the header.php I can't see a good reason to override it ever, but I could be missing something obvious...
