@Satheesh PM thanks for your PM. you told me to use your this latest chat plugin.. I installed this one works fine but I can see the same less emotions as I had before in my preivous chat plugin. However here in your screen shots showing lots of emotions/ smilies..
Please how I can get more smilies? why my chat smilies show different than your schreen shot? Though I installed the same plugin :)
Cheers
Use diffrent theme for chat room you will see
@Satheesh PM I am using green theme, but can't see :)
Althought with few other themes I can see :) ... I would like to use green theme but smilies do not appear there :(
One other things;
I am using 3C plugin, I can see Site Announcement showing on the right side when we go to the chat page. Which I do not like to show in the chat page.
I have seen this Site Announcement box shows everywhere in all pages, How I can remove in the pages I do not want?
Please guide.
Many thanks in advance.
if i remember right, extending the site announcement box to your entire site is an admin setting
Satheesh PM Thank you for this plugin. It does the job pretty well and nobody seems to have complained about any performance degredation.
I know costakisc has already asked but, any plans for a widget for this plugin? regs.
@satheesh: great plugin. It works great on my local server with Apache 2 and PHP 5.2.6. It doesn't work on my server on the internet. I get the following error on my browser:
Zeitstempel: 30.09.2012 10:57:59
Fehler: TypeError: $.inArray is not a function
Quelldatei: cache/js/default/elgg.1348639509.js
Zeile: 708
What's wrong? There are no other Plugins active.
@Unilein
Uninstall Chat Room plugin tooo and see ... may be this is because of ELGG?
Ive installed 1.8.8 Elgg and a number of plugins running and making sure they are compatible with my install. Bit I've plug'd that download in the usual place, but I don't get the settings options which you've attached in the screenshot. So not listed, to tweak the install which from looking in the above comments is a must, but as said it does not pop up under settings. When I click on chat when logged on as a user I get this error in IE9:
Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/homepages/19/d431632274/htdocs/elgg/mod/chat_pfc/pages/chat_pfc/index.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php5') in /homepages/19/d431632274/htdocs/elgg/mod/freechatphp_pfc/start.php on line 38
So I'm going to deactivate, remove from "mod", delet original file downloaded and redownload and re-upload to my server's "mod" directory. As you can tell I do need this plugin as it's had good feedback and a function I need so thanks for your creation...
Well, lesson learned. Dont change the folder name when uoploading to the "mod" directory for esay reference. Just use the original folder name...
@ Addie's,
there is no problem in renaming the folder provided you do same in all files and folders tooo...
i'm newbe. please, how do I do the settings? the chat is not working.
@n00be enable the plugin and you will see a link like [settings]
Hi
Thanks for the swesome chatroom plug... I've installed and configured as per the instructions and it went swimingly to a point. When I try to access the room/s I get "Chat loading ... Please wait" but it never loads the room/s
Any idea what this might be?
thanks again
regards
Added a github version at https://github.com/thuvalpakshi/chat_pfc
Is there a newer version of this somewhere?
I am using the Facebook theme. When I got to click on the chat icon I get this error:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /chat_pfc/ on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache Server at pulpflixtion.com Port 80 I installed correctly and did the settings first as instructed. Am I missing something?
working now. Nevermind.
Is there a way to get the chat box bigger? An edit in code?
may be u need to edit the any of the css file in vendors/phpfreechat/style/
Got the chat to work, and configured the settings, but I cannot type in the chat box, and there is no chat window despite setting the height being set to 600.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Lee.
