This plugin is based on the FAQ plugin by Jerome Bakker. There are versions available for Elgg 1.8 and newer.
The plugin will add a FAQ section to your site:
- Admins can add / edit / delete FAQs,
- FAQs structured in custom categories,
- Users can ask questions. These questions (and your answers) can be added to FAQ or alternatively you can send the answer only back to the user,
- Own full text FAQ search ordered by relevancy (hit count),
- site search results will include relevant FAQs.
Installation
- If you have a previous version of the FAQ plugin installed, disable the plugin first and then remove the FAQ plugin folder from the mod directory completely,
- Copy the FAQ plugin folder into the mod directory of your Elgg installation,
- Enable the plugin in the admin section of your site and configure the FAQ plugin settings,
- Add question and answers on your own or wait until users ask questions.
