My idea here was to have a simple rss viewer widget, that I would eventually make clones of for users to add to their dashboard similar to iGoogle style.

I've developed it to have settings for the user to add a rss feed link and choose the number of articles to show.

The problem is that for some reason I can't pass a global variable into a function on the content.php file that displays the given rss feed. Therefore, unless I hard code a limit to the number of articles it just defaults to 10.

Is this a tree structure thing in Elgg? I've looked through the help and couldn't find any assistance.

Please HELP!!!

Thanks in advance.
