Maintainer Needed!

People seem to like this theme, but I have no time to support it any more. Besides, I'm not using Elgg for quite some time now. So before it gets completely outdated I thought there might be somebody who wants to continue supporting this theme. Contact me if you're interested!

Features

  • Fixed width design
  • Transparency, shadows, CSS3
  • More space around the elements
  • All the default plugins supported
  • Gimp XCF and Inkscape SVG files included
  • Slightly modified icon set
  • Replaceable favicon and logo
  • Tested in Chromium, Firefox, and Opera

Installation steps

  1. Unzip the downloaded file and copy only the 'bright-theme' folder and its contents into the 'mod' folder inside your Elgg installation.
  2. You might need to set the permissions for the 'bright-theme' folder and on its contents. Make sure you're in root mode if you're on Linux, and right click on the folder, or use the 'chmod' command. Set the permissions to 755.
  3. Go to 'Administration/Configure/Plugins' on your Elgg site and set the priority of the theme if neccessary. Ideally it should be the last plugin to load. Then activate it!
  4. You might also need to clear the cache at 'Administer/Dashboard', seek for 'Flush the caches'.

Known issues

  • Not tested under Explorer (since I'm on Linux). Can you test it for me?
  • In Opera and Firefox the input buttons are smaller than the anchor ones. Also, they thave smaller shadows. In Chomium it's all okay. I've tried to fix this, but couldn't as of yet. Can you give me a hint?
  • I wanted the notification messages to pop up inside the 990px wide header area, and aligned to the right side of it, but I couldn't make it happen. Currently it's aligned with the right side of the browser window. Can you help me with this?
