What you can do to help:
A simple profile widget to display custom HTML code on your profile. No admin customization options at this time; this is just a very simple widget that will let users/members input custom code to display as a widget on their profile, nothing more, nothing less.
Tested in 1.8.1 and seems to be working fantastically. I cannot assure that this will work in all elgg environments as it is a brand new plugin and has only been tested far enough to see if it works (it does on the site it was made for).
Feedback would be lovely. I hope this helps out some people that I'm sure have been waiting anxiously for someone to write a custom code widget. This is my first custom written plugin, though I have modified many others over the last several years.
TODO:
Add a way for the user/member to change the title of the widget.
BUG NOTICE: I attempted to install this plugin on another new site of my own and it seems there may be some conflict with something and I'm not sure what it is yet, so I cannot assure you this widget will work on all elgg installs. So far, it works great on one of mine but not on another and I haven't yet figured out what is confliicting with what. It is possible it is a domain vs. subdomain issue, but I do not yet know at this time if that is what is the problem. More testing will have to be done and I'm not sure when I'll get to it. If anyone figures out any specific plugins that conflict, I can look into what is causing the conflict a bit more. I'm working with so many plugins currently that it can be hard to keep up. LOL
