@Cash When a user is banned, are all their blogs, etc. still visible to view. When I ban a user in the default ban user, their content is still viewable. I don't want to see any of their content when they are banned.
Yes @wannabe, I agree it would be good not to have their content available to the community at the discretion of the administrator. I just tried the plugin and the blogs of the banned user are still visible. Without deleting the users, it would take too long to delete each inappropriate blog. @Cash
What about Ban groups?

Yes, or I was thinking put an entire group space on timeout.
I like the group idea as well. Give the admin or moderator options
a) Ban completely, no longer visible
b) Ban, but keep visible and an indication how long that group is banned.
or
c) Ban user from specified group(s)

Of provide the admin this option. If a user is temp. banned you might want to keep it visible :)

Yes, ban user and his/her groups and blogs.
@all we are working on ban plugin for elgg 1.8 maybe we release in the weak. :)
