Hi, I have been working for almost a month now trying to incorporate a contacts importer script (http://www.walkswithme.net/yahoo-contact-list-reader-with-oauth-api-in-php) into the following plugins:
1. Contacts Importer: http://community.elgg.org/plugins/384461/3.183/contacts-importer-plugin-for-elgg-18x
2. Openinviter Invitefriends for Elgg 1.7: http://community.elgg.org/plugins/694331/1.9.4.0/openinviter-invitefriends
3. Facebook inviter: http://community.elgg.org/plugins/1541451/1.0/notify-facebook-users
However, I have not been successful. I want to use the contact importer codes and APIs in place of OpenInviter in the plugins.
What I am trying to do is very similar to your plugin and therefore I would be grateful if you can help me achieve this.
Thanks and have a Happy New Year.
John
gerard and i began coding an update to the importer plugin that uses oauth for the various providers.. it is still in the early stages currently.
Ha ha @ura soul This is not my plugin. It uses the same libraries, but the most updated with working twitter and has some additional advantages like grasping email and location information. Miles did most of the hard work, but he does not seem to be involved anymore. My plugin can be found here

And btw, it is also not our joint effort import plugin.
