Release Notes

Apperently the previous release of version 1.3.2 had a small bug which I already fixed, but didn't share with the community.

- fixed: creating a group no longer has the digest settings form

  • @Lee:

Fatal error: Call to a member function getGUID() on a non-object in /home/elgg2020/public_html/dev17/mod/digest/views/default/digest/groupsettings/form.php on line 16

This has been fixed in this release

  • Jerome for some reason it is not working on my installation.  Plugin is active, but sending emails

Does it affects this plugin to have multiple users with same email ?

Also any way to make it defeault instead of having a check box on the index page.

Jerome for some reason it is not working on my installation.  Plugin is active, but sending emails

Have you set "enable sending of digest mail" to "yes" in the admin section?

Does it affects this plugin to have multiple users with same email ?

    No

Also any way to make it defeault instead of having a check box on the index page.

The checkbox on the registration page was put there to make sure the plugin followed Dutch (and European) laws regarding the sending of mails.

If you don't want to have to ask your users if they wish to receive digest mails you have to fix this in your template.

  • @ days passed, i activated digest plugin again. All settings selected yes, Emails set for daily. Still no emails.

  • @adoi:

Do you have CRON configured correctly (according to http://docs.elgg.org/wiki/Cron). You can check if the CRON is working correctly by installing the plugin croncheck (http://community.elgg.org/pg/plugins/project/484590/developer/jdalsem/croncheck)

  • Is it something related to cron triggered plugin ?

On my 1.7.8 installation. do not know for what reason, Cron trigger plugin once made entire crashed, when i enabled it first time. I diasabled it by renaming folder. and got my site back.

After that whenever i tried to enable cron trigger plugin it made site in acessible in some way.

Anyway to make it work, without cron trigger plugin, by setting cron job in Cpanel.

  • @adoi:

crontrigger is a plugin that enables you to use cron based plugins if you can't configure the cron on something like cpanel or plesk. Read http://docs.elgg.org/wiki/Crontrigger for some more information on crontrigger.

DON'T use crontrigger with Digest, I will make this impossible in the next release.
