6.2 or 6.0 :/

this plugin is not working properly as I see a link to the chat room on top of the page and it did not solve the language problem. i'm unable to chat in arabic, hebrew and other languages.

some work still needed to make this plugin work with version 6.2

works great as required. highly recommended as i have found it to be the first complete chat plugin for elgg 1.8. thanks.

Just installed on 1.8.1 on an Ubuntu server. The icons for save, upload, ect. are not showing up in the chat window. Any advice?

I am getting a 500 error message when clicking submit after entering my mysql data. The information entered is correct, however it will not let me get past this. Any tips. 

can we turn off the layer chat link ? i really think it's annoying

Hi Boss, Everythin works fine but i am when i make changes in admin panel it is not reflecting.

I tried to reinstall it but still the admin panel changes are not reflected boss.

for me it didnt show up and yes followed instructions, one thing is it keeps telling me wrong password even thogh it is correct?

just followed the instructions and after the upgrade i have no chat at all.

@dinesh : which admin panel setting you are mentioning? Share the admin panel URL. bcoz, there are two admin panels for the plugin.

It seems that freichat and pfchat are conflicting. Can anybody confirm that?

nice plugin. How to remove the chat room and chat option  from main  page (log in  page) and how to disable chat room to appear on every page?

iv installed and it shows the chat when im in my admin pages but once i go to my site its gone...../any ideas?

can you shift the chatroom window slightly below so that it does not interfere with the menu bar.

@Team Webgalli. On your installation page for elgg, it says the following: Change the path of the settings.php to your_elgg_installation_path/engine/settings.php and hit submit*

What does this mean? Do I have to go into my settings.php file and edit something? I tried installing this plugin once before, and I kept entering the correct path but nothing was happening. What am I doing wrong? Please help.

@Kel : You have to help freichat to find the location of your elggsite's settings.php . Normally during installation, this field gets populated with a worng value like yoursitename.com/mod/chat/vendors/freichat/engine/settings.php . You need to change it to yoursitename.com/engine/settings.php

I installed the plugin following the document. But my chat window shows 'Fetching...user..data'.

I found 2 errors in my chrome:

1.I cannot access http://evnix-dot-com.appspot.com/?time=1325470593 because of the restriction of my current environment;

2.Uncaught TypeError: Object #<Object> has no method 'frei_branding'

I guess error2 is the result of error1. Could I change the url in error1 to my local website? 

I got the js generated from  http://evnix-dot-com.appspot.com/?time=1325470593 via some web proxy and named tmp.js, then I modified chat.php under the mod\chat\views\default\chat path to use the tmp.js instead the original url.

The 2 errors gone. But i don't know how to send message to my friend online. When i input some words, i couldnot see some 'send' button. I used 'Enter' or 'Ctrl+Enter', but the message was still stay there, not sent.

The error in chrome is:
