i install this freichat plugin for elgg as directed by you in the readme file..it is working fine with elgg 1.8.01 in localhost windows wamp server, but its not working while i uploaded it to my web host subdomain

The code from Matt Beckett in last relese of this plugin to make this chat limit only for frineds is not working properly. PLEASE help :(

I'm stuck in install. I'm getting that error regarding the engine/settings.php, where it is located. I've looked all over, but can't find settings.php. The only thing in my vendors folder is the freichat folder. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I also read that I have to put the friechat folder in the main directory. Is that the freichat folder in the vendors folder?

@mntrq : The code is not tested.Sorry, we are now not in a position to debug it and provide more features on our free plugins. Once we have enough free time, we will check it and update.

@Chit : the settings.php is located inside your_elgg_files/engine/settings.php

can you tell me how to make the chat appear after i login? i don't want the chat to appear in the index page

it seems like it only support english and languages hat use english letters

i tried it with chinese, arabic, hebrew, bengali and none of these languages are suported

i used google translate to check if it supports these languages and siting in front of 2 computers and when i type something in one of the above languages, i can see it with the sending computer but i get ??? with the recieving computer

can this be fixed?

Elgg installed folder => /home/xnetwor1/public_html/egg/mod/chat/vendors/    

Please make sure freichat directory is in main Elgg installed directory

The code from Matt Beckett does not work. Can someone help out with a solution to limit chat to friends only more like facebook. I think it is much required for this plugin to be complete.

FriechatX 6.2 has recently been released and it works great with integrated restrict chat to buddies and chatroom functionality. Can someone upgrade this plugin for newest version of FriechatX 6.2.
