@Webgalli - I have a recommendation for a future release of chat. It would be nice to have the option to choose to only show friends of site (Matt's addition) or all members of site. Maybe something in the chat window under one of the tools. That way if the admin of the site needs to talk to someone thats not a friend, they could turn on that option and then turn it off after they are done. Thanks so much!
There was another Chat PlugIn before based n EveniX which I never got to really trying; tho by the sounds of feedback so far here.. this one sees quite easy to install and use. I have not had much spare time to play with this. We already use 2 other chats and I'm getting another 2 Open Source Chats prepared for Elgg PlugIn packaging. I would be interested in more details of feedback from Elggsterss experiences with this Chat., Maybe the other Chats can wait if this FreiChat is all that good.. convince me !

how to get elgg avathar to online chat personals?
the install file problem I fixed by copying the engine folder to the directory that freichat asked for. set premissions and it worked. not sure if thisn is the most secure fix but for noobs like me it saved me from calling the tech line and asking how to find the correct path.
