Installed this yesterday. I think it is a very good approach.

It slows down elgg a little bit but I think it's still ok. Haven't tested it with a lot of users but hope it works fine.

Is there a way to make the wait for the text to appear in chat faster?

I thing cookies are not cleared rapidly that's why you get internet server error, it is little bit improved but from begining this is a main reason behind the slow ness of these chats. try some long chat sessions like in hours then you will get the real result. It need some more work to be done .....but thanks for good approach.

I had installed hte elgg on my server,but no chat interface as shown in the picture. Please help to solve this problem.
