This plugin provides Elgg with a view for RSS that accepts login credentials via HTTP headers.  If you have an RSS client that can handle HTTP authentication, you can subscribe to a feed using your Elgg credentials and receive all content you have access to.

Default RSS feed

<url>?view=rss

Authenticated RSS feed

<url>?view=rssauth

Please note that HTTP authentication sends credentials in plain text.  This is not secure.  It is recommended to use this in conjunction with SSL.
