Elgg 1.8.13 & and php 5.3.2

Installing videos plugin plugin page in admin panel gets corrupted.

Anyone else with this problem?

I would appreciate to get some support because I can't install this plugin. The developer of the Mobilize plugin said, that this video plugin is needed to can show up videos in mobil phone.

Can anyone help?

hey cos if you're looking for or wanna beta-test some video stuff.. i'm working on a foto/ video plugin to handle the river like fb does, so click opens up a modal for display - and if the foto or  video belomgs to an album ~ then the whole album becomes accesible in the modal. buzz me me if you've some spare time to fritter..

@xsurf : Read the description of the plugin first and report the error messages like that. This error is not replicable in our installations and not reported by other users. So its something specific with your installation. See

When I deactivate embed extender then I can activate this video plugin and vice versa.

When video plugin is activated then videos in thewire are not showing up.

Should this be like this?

Does this plugin support videos in the wire?

As explained in the first lines of this page, this plugin will

Allow users to

• Embed videos in Elgg1.8(ONLY) sites. 
• Convert all video links in your sites to embedded videos
• Group videos
• Video widget

Ok, but it does not work in the wire.

Running elgg 1.8.9 and get this message after posting a youtube link

Any ideas cause I ain't got a clue... bit of an elgg noob...

@chalkiex : wait for next release or open that file and find line number 146. Change get_plugin_setting() to elgg_get_plugin_setting().

How can I fix a problem with the visualisation from the embed video in Chrome and explorer... I can see the embed video in Firefox and Safari, but not in chrome or explorer.

This plugin will work fine in all elgg 1.8.15 installs. Dont know whats special with your installation. Try disabling all other thirdparty plugins.

Hi,

I noticed 2 missing parameters related to youtube short links (youtu.be) :

embed_video.php on line 43 : $guid and $videowidth are not passed to the function videoembed_youtube_shortener_parse_url().

It's not a problem when using this plugin beacause there is a fallback value, but in my case I wanted to override the view river/object/videos/create.php to have a videowidth > 150.
In this particular case my size was not considered for youtube short links.

Could you check this for the next release ?

It could be a great idea to make this value configurable, because 150px for a video in the wire is very small
