@Mark,@bpreston
I have tested the maps problems you have, and moved the Event Manager around the stack, but I wasn't able to reproduce your Google Maps problems.
Can you give me a bit more feedback?
Like, did you get any JS errors? Or parts of the functions aren't working? Or the maps isn't even showing itself at all?
Thanks!
@Rick, alas, this version does not work for me either... the 0.1.1 release does though :(
I get the following, but I do not really understand what to do about it
Error: $("a[rel*=facebox]").facebox is not a function
Source File: http://test17x.mysite.com/pg/events
Line: 25
I hope this can be fixed, I'd like to try out the new features etc.
@Mark
Hmm Facebox (which opens a facebook lightbox) isn't included in Event Manager. I think you have an other plugin enabled crashing your JS.
Did you /upgrade.php your caching stuff? (after dis/enabling a plugin) Could be some cached broken JS crashing the Event Manager.
Have you tried to only enable the Event Manager on your site? Or disabling the "Facebox" using plugin?
Oh.. I moved Event_Manager around the stack and disabled loads of plugins that I thought might use JS, but no joy.
Ok. Can you PM me your site link where the event manager is installed? It's a bit hard to look for an error when it's working correctly on my site.
I have been fiddling about and found that having the "Minify" plugin active knocks out the JS in this plugin... @bpreston are you using Minify as well?
@Mark Sure am. Let me get this new version installed and I'll take a look.
So far so good, disabled minify and the world looks wonderful! I'll play around with it over the course of the day and gladly report back anything I find!
@Mark - sweet! :)
@Rick - this is a fun plugin! Loving the evolution!
The only thing I've noted as unusual is that when there are several events and I click on the 'On the map' tab, I get the thumbtacks for some of the events, but no map underneath it. When I click on one of the events in the left column, the map appears, focused on that event, as I would expect.
Otherwise, everything here seems to be working well. The ability to create a registration page is a really nice addition along with the individual sessions within the day of an event. I also like the 'Locl from event' on the Avatar pulldown, that's a nice touch! :)
Coming along very, very nicely.
That was 'Kick from event' on the avatar pulldown. Have no idea where my fingers went on that one! :)
When maaking event slots, the location is not carried into subsequent slots created and I'm afraid it is not geolocating properly still... it is centered on Berlin now... but the whole plugin look and feels fab!
just a heads up (might not help) but the embed plugin comes with and uses facebox.
I'm glad you guys got it working:-)
@bpreston, the maps functions need to be tuned up a bit code wise. So there may indeed be several inaccurations.
@Mark, The location of the event slots isn't supposed to link to the event's location (address). It was meant as "Room 1.3" or whatever you like to put in there.
I'll take a new look at the centering part. As i said, the maps part need some tuning.
Next part of the plugin will be a waiting list per event. (part of the registration functions)
Hi, i have some problems with the event icon, dont show nothing, some idea?
@Rick, great plugin! So far np! Maybe just a suggestion. It would be nice to add an event's time without the need to choose a daily program.
@Pedro
We will be looking into it!
Hi Rick,
first of all great plug in ! thanks...
1/ I try to modify language of datepicker trough event_manager\vendors\jquery.datepick.package-4.0.5
but no changes appears :( how coul i change the languages for french for datepicker...
2/ is it possible to have advanced search by default instead of simple search or to add regional fields into simple search ?
Regards
@kestendi
1) The datepicker is only loaded, when there is no other datepicker JS in the current plugin installment. When you have a plugin enabled that also includes a datepicker, the datepicker in the event manager will not be loaded. That can be a problem with language settings in the event manager.
2) Yes it is possible, but i really can't do a release for each small change people want.. I hope you understand:-)
HI Rick,
I like your plugin so far. I'm able to create/edit/delete an event but I can not view the event. When i click on a new event (http://XXX.de/pg/events/event/view/493/lh45807jul11 I get the error message HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.
The event is not visible on the map.
Any idea?
THanks for your help
@Severinius
I suggest you check your .htaccess file (or server configuration) which usually is the reason you get an internal server error(500).
Is it possible to add a feature to invite a specific group to event (all users who are members of the group would be automaticly invited) Thisi is one of the funcionalities i miss from event_calendar mod by Kevin.
@martinez
That's a good one. We'll think about it!
Ok thanks RICK !
It could be great to be able to invite friends or members (for admin) to an event !
