Can anyone help me how to disable messageboard group ?

Hi Evans,,,,,, nice theme ..... please help on these issues below:

- On Wall Comments are visible as a comment and a posting --- they appear twice........

- When posting on someone's wall post does not appear there but it appears only in news feeds,,,,,

- There is no option to delete comments (in blog posts)

- No option to delete postings within a group

- The postings within a group, are visible on wall and activity with no headings and option to comment on them

-Wall comments are not limited to atleast 140 words. if a user could decide to write a long comment it can fill the whole page.

The graphic in IE9 it's terrible! on the top right corner only the password field is visible and the login button is on top of the "remember me", plus all the other lesser troubles, there is a report on these issues posted 111 days ago and it's still there without an answer????

Sorry, i am a new user and when i went to the website you mentioned, it was even more difficult, as the only usefull info i could find was a post you made writing this: "I don't care to port to 1.8. I'd rather port this code to 1.9." so, if i am understanding it right, there will be no support for this theme until we reach Elgg 1.9 ???

This theme is for 1.8. It works on Elgg 1.8. I don't test on IE. If IE issues are going to get fixed, it's got to happen via pull request. Sorry!

@Waqas Arshad Cheema This seems to be one issue with the fb theme and its derivatives. In my environment it seems to occur because I use 'Widget Manager' to design the index page. Are you using WidgetManager? In any case, would be good to hear if there is any way to resolve this issue...

1 - Go to action / comments / add.php

2 - Remove the following code (line 58):

@İşöğünçı  when do u get that problem? if when posting on peoples walls then its a problem with messageboard action.

@Kuncore, Facebook theme for elgg can be used to show blogs on the profile's sidebar. Twizanex has used it and members can add widgets to the right sidebars of the facebook theme for elgg by Evans. Check it out and see if this is what you are asking for.

Excellent pastiche and seriously do not know the IPR issues of use on a production site.  Also you may have the issue that someone could have FB open and Elgg on separate tabs and could cause fun/mayhem/or nothing... Causes an issue if under "basic settings" in Admin you've input "name of site" that will ghost over the top left drop down menus. I plugged it into 1.8.8 and works like a dream. So if you wish to pay homage to FB, crack on and I'm still deliberating as to whether to use it. If it has no branding, merely functions in the same way, no reference to FB, then I would have thought it's merely into "Emulation" areas of use IMHO. Where I feel it's ideal is if you have users happily FB'ing away and looking to add to social networking with a specific user base and not detract the userbase for FB, I would have thought that they would not come knocking on your door, unless you are trying to compete directly with FB. There the issue would lay... Wonderful homage, made me giggle even though it's a serious bit of work, be proud...
