Evan I have it running now, at first it didn't want to activate. Now running but the admin panel is frozen, cannot get into plugins settings for instance. I ran upgrade.php no help. I suppose I should dump the theme and start again. Any ideas? Also, I don't see the create group menu with this theme. What am I missing on that?

I installed it on my demo site it works but need to check it again , I think Some javascripts are conflict it stop some admin funtion from working.

One more thing I did not found any link to change profile pic, may be missed in it.

I like the group Profile style and User profile style, Just add some more links and It would be very impressive if it show notifications under different icon or link instead of inbox, Inbox should be use to display only private messages.

I like it You said it is not for production, even I am going to recomend it may be some one modified it different way.

Ehhh there is a company that made an 1.7.x theme exactly like this one for sale... they got in problems...

Since this theme doesn't touch the admin area in any way, I can only assume you're having troubles because of some other plugin or configuration issue.

You have to disable the embed plugin before this theme will work due to JS problems.

Where do you create new groups? Also, do you have the group activity river running as default here? I wasn't sure if you inferred that about this theme or not.

very nice, but did you ever test it in Internet Explorer ? It seems to be completely broken. Firefox is ok

how do you remove the replay textlink in dasboard/the wire?

@TahoeBilly, Yes, group river is default.  You can do so by clicking "Groups" from the dashboard and then "Create a Group" from the resulting page.  I can add a "+ Create a Group" button, though, that 

@Carina,  I have not tested on IE, but it doesn't surprise me that it's broken.  I'll probably only be supporting IE9.

@Cynthia -- this question, I think, would be better posted in the forums, as it is not specific to this theme.  That said, facebook does not allow "replies" to status messages, so it may make sense to disallow this by default in the theme...

i'm on a default fresh 1.8 install so that rules out any custom plugin.

also, do you offer the profile "ability to post to someone else's wall" as a seperate plugin? could you? this is a feature many of us are missing in elgg and it eould help so so many people.

hell, if you were to take the default elgg profile plugin and modify it with a wall and ability to post to, id pay good money for it.

Appearance-> menu items does not work. Wen the admin add menu item in Appaerance, the menu item does not appear

@lord55 Elgg doesn't want to be Facebook. This is a template which makes it look quite similar to it using the same colour scheme and menus and layout. ;)

I tried this theme. Cannot be used if "TheWire" is disabled. Extremely odd. I think it relies on it, do you know a way to use this theme without that plugin?

@rjcalifornia, This is because of a bug in Elgg 1.8b1.  The theme does not explicitly rely on thewire, but Elgg 1.8 is interpreting the manifest (wrongly) as if it does.

For those who are unable to edit the profile details (there is a bug in the profile edit link, its hard coded to evan's link) replace line 174 to 182 of start.php with the following
