HTML email handler v2.5

Release Notes

2.5 (2013-12-24):

  • thanks for the update..
    does 'html_email_handler_send_email()' need to be called specifically to trigger an html email? or does this plugin over-ride/replace the standard elgg mailing function anyway?

  • @ura soul

    does 'html_email_handler_send_email()' need to be called specifically to trigger an html email? or does this plugin over-ride/replace the standard elgg mailing function anyway?

    If you set the plugin to handle the notification (check plugin settings) all messages leaving the system will be formated to HTML.

    The function html_email_handler_send_email() can be called directly but is only needed of you want your plugin to send out HTML content is a different layout than the notification messages (eg Digest and Newsletter use this)

  • Thank you, like it! How do I put the site logo instead of the site name?

    I tried:

    $site_url = elgg_view("output/url", array("href" => $vars["config"]->site->url, "text" => $vars["config"]->site->logo));

    but that was no success ;) I just wonder how I put a link to an image in there like:

    <a href="...."><img src="http://..../logo.png"></a&gt;

    Can you give me a hint please?

  • i just noticed that sending emails via this plugin in conjunction with galli massmail and putting a & symbol in the title, resulted in the received emails containing the coded version of the & symbol instead of the symbol itself  (e.g. &amp;)

    i'm not sure if the cause of this is within your plugin here or in massmail.. my server is not setup effectively enough to debug email issues with elgg presently.. hence i am asking here if anyone knows how to resolve this..?
    thanks

    I do encode the subject but it's base64 encoded, so if there are html encoded string it's probably some other plugin

  • ok thanks, i will ask the webgalli coders.
