This is COOL! RECOMMENDED!!
@skslink thanks!
Thanks for this plugin, its so cool! I've tried it in both Elgg 1.7 and 1.8, but in v1.8, the "Delete" option doesn't work. Any help is greatly appreciated
@hamman i already fixed the delete problem in the code repository. Will release to the community very soon.
How to use it ? There is no point where i can do this...
I can't find the admin for this. Does it require another plugin? I am on 1.8.3. i'm not getting any errors, just can't find anywhere to interact with the plugin.
@hollosch and @nikkipixel you should be able to find a "edit" button (a wrench) beside the site menu items. The configuration is done "on site". There is no admin backend.
Aha! I didn't see a wrench, but clicked where I thought it maybe should be, and low and behold, there it was!! Must be the theme I have installed was covering it. Thanks @Jeroen :)
Well! I am using Facebook theme and dont see any wrench or edit button on header or menu items. Please lemme know.
Does anyone know what is going on with this plugin. It was stated almost a month ago that there was a fix for deleting menu items but I have not seen it yet!!!!
@mark you can download the latest version here if you are in a hurry https://github.com/ColdTrick/menu_builder
Just didn't have the time to release it to the community yet.
@Jeroen - Thank you so much. I am new to the community and elgg so I was not aware it was there. I downloaded it, installed it, and it runs perfect! Thank you so much for your hard work!
thsnk you so much. im having this problem. i installed the spanish translation. with the menubuilder plugin deactivated the menu items appear in spanish (Actividad instead of Activity, Favoritos instead of Bookmarks...) but when I activate the menubuilder plugin these items appear in english, while the rest is still in spanish. how can i correct this issue. thank u so much, i really would appreciate an answer. thank u.
i was talking about the spanis translation for elgg 1.8.
@andres the menu text is non-translatable. The first time you enable the menu_builder plugin it will generate menu_builder menu items based on your (at that time) current site menu. If at that moment the language was english it will generate in English. If you change the language afterwards, it has no effect on the text of menu items. Currently there is no solutions for that.. yet.
thanks a lot for the quick response. what would be an easy work around for having de header menu translatable (even without using menu builder). thank u again.
i see, with the elgg_register_menu_item function. does any one of you guys knoe how could i order the menu items in a custom way.
@Jeroen - Thank you so much for another great pluggin, but I'm having a problem.
I tried to add the profile page to the menu items instead of having on the top left of the site and after saving, when I go to the menu item and click on it appears the message: sorry. we could not find the page that you requested.
The same thing happens with friends and messages.
Thank you
@artur did you check if the url is correct?
@Jeroen - well I think is correct, the url that appears on the profile is this: [wwwroot]rh/elgg/profile/[username]
Is this the correct or I'm doing something wrong? I'm sorry if is a silly question
Thank you again
@artur i would expect something like [wwwroot]profile/[username]
@Jeroen thank you for your help and for another great plugin. RECOMMENDED FOR EVERYONE
so great!! thanks for the best plugins @Jeroen
when I create a new element the automatic url is [wwwroot]elgg/.....
but [wwwroot] contain the root of the site that is "elgg", so the right thing would be to remove it when creating new items. It's that ok?
thanks!
The delete is isn't working for mine. Any suggestions as to what could be the problem?
