I fixed my issue by editing line 19, as mentioned by Chrisstoffer.

Having another issue, though. When a Friend posts something to the Wire...the Reply and View More links both redirect to the main page instead of going to appropriate link. I can't find where to change this. Any help would be appreciated.

New to Elgg, so sorry for the n00b questions.

@FluffedMojo Maybe, there has been a few chages in the links of Elgg 1.7.7. Actually, I haven't chaned to test it up there as I have to deal with some other family issues these days ...

I will launche a newer version of the plugin with bugfixes and maybe a couple of new features as well, when I get time.

I really like your dashboard.

In default, you can put all the plugins in 3 columns of the dashboard. How do I get some of these plugins to show up in your dashboard? I can only get to them through the 'Tools' button.

@moonslice If I get you right, you are trying to put other elements, i.e. photos, groups, videos, etc. , on the dashboard? Yes, it can be done. But, needs some little piece of coding. The easiest way would be to paste your codes on /mod/riverdashboard/views/default/riverdashboard/advert.php/ file. But, putting them in an orderly manner would be better.

caragadatacenter I haven't tested with Elgg 1.7.7 but don't think there would be a compatibility issue. I have tested with Elgg 1.7.6 and it has worked flawlessly there.

Maybe you could try and let us all know ...?

@kxx4 You can display adverts on the right by pasting your codes on /mod/riverdashboard/views/default/riverdashboard/advert.php/ . Unfortunately, there is no provision for left panel advert. But, should be difficult to implement.

The easiest way to put your advert on the left column would be to paste it at the end of the file /mod/riverdashboard/views/default/riverdashboard/friends.php or recentvisitors.php

Or, you can define another file on start.php for better implementation.

I'd like to see the ability to add widgets to this dashboard.  It's the best I've seen so far, and this feature would make it that much better.  Or just some instructions on how to add other widgets.

@skunk.grunt Delighted to know your appreciation towards this plugin. I also have ideas to give the ability to the members to add widgets on the dashboard. I just don't have much time these days. I will surely do something after April ... some more features are also in my mind.

I'm very interesten in your plugin but I'm trying to make it work but with no success :(

Here is what i've done:

1. I've installed a fresh elgg 1.7.7

2. Copied the two directories of your plugin to mod dir.

3. Enabled thewire, riverdashboard(yours), friendrequest mods

4. run upgrade.php without any errors

5. Got the image attached :(

and now it works

But mine works without any trick or hack on Elgg 1.7.7. :/

@stuartsloan Thanks for your appreciation! Yes, you can change the colour of the announcement element. Make your changes on the CSS which is situated in /mod/riverdashboard/views/default/riverdashboard/css.php/

I have forgotten the precise css class for the element. But, you could use the FireBug add-on for Firefox and locate it. After making the changes, don't forget to run the upgrade script i.e. http://SITE.TLD/upgrade.php

Just tried this plugin and it looks good - except:

1.  When logged in as a member there's no text box to add any content (like in the screenshot)

2.  All the widgets I had in place have been removed, with no clear way of re-adding them (again, the screenshot seems to have widgets in place)

Have I missed something obvious?  :-/

1. You need to make sure that The Wire plugin is enabled and the new dashboard as at the bottom or very close to it.

2. There is no option to widgetise this riverdashboard yet. So, the widgets are replaced with the pre-coded elements on the dashboard. It is normal. Maybe some future version would include such functionality.

@poppler I do have plans to implement widgetisation. But, something different from what has been release so far.

autodash is not on the to-do list. But if anyone wants to do it, I'm open for that. :)
