This module don't work in elgg 1.7 :(
So far, I have tested with Elgg 1.7.1 and 1.7.5 and has worked flawlessly. Maybe, you should upgrade your site to the most recent version of Elgg.
But, the plugin most likely to be compatible with all the version of 1.7 series. Have you followed the installation instruction properly?
However, Elgg earlier to v 1.7.5 has some different links. That could be a minor issue.
I can confirm that the plugin is working fine with Elgg 1.7.6
@pegasus81 Please disable all non-core plugins and see if it is working or not. I think some other plugin is causing a conflict.
Nothing. :-(
Maybe, have I to install some other plugins?
Try installing on a fresh installation of Elgg. :/
Nothing. Can you try with easyphp?
Sorry, I am on Ubuntu with MySQL and Apache installed in it! :( Try on some webhost and see what happens ...
I found the problem: to use this mod, you have to enable "messages" mod. :-)
Hmm ... That rings the bell. Sorry, missed it. Will fix in the next release.
Thanks pegasus81!
Not at all! :-)
Thank you
I got the error when i'm trying to save the wire post. I'm testing in localhost
"The requested action (riverdashboard/wireadd) was not defined in the system."
sorry that i don't know how to upgrade using the given url "http://URL.TLD/upgrade.php"
i'm getting page error while upgrading
Make sure you have
1. The Wire plugin enabled in the systems.
2. Your site is running on Elgg 1.7.*
If you are getting error while upgrading, it means something must have gone wrong with your installation itself. Maybe, some files have gone missing ... ?
almost all the basic plugins are enabled.......
i'm running the latest version elgg-1.7.6
I just copied the plugin into mod dir..... i'll try to have a reinstall...... thank you.....
reinstallation fixed the problem thanx....... :)
Glad it worked. Maybe, some files had gone missing. :p
I installed your dashboard on the default theme on elgg and it works great and I love it, however I am using a different theme and the dimensions are weird.. I have tried changing css.php and nothing changes.. how do I edit widths and background colours?
As well is there any way to add "celebrations" widget to replace the ad.php?
@Spasso Good to know that you liked this plugin! To change the height, width, colours, etc, , make the changes on /mod/riverdashboard/views/default/riverdashboard/css.php and don't forget to run the upgrade script ie http://SITE.TLD/upgrade.php after sasving your css.php file.
And, make sure no other plugin overrides the css of this dashboard. So, put this close to bottom.
I ahve testet it on two different elgg communities both running 1.7.1
Tried the updage.php and tried placing them at the buttom but I keep getting this error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function elgg_view_friendly_time() in /home/www/site.com/folder/mod/riverdashboard/views/default/riverdashboard/sitemessage.php on line 19
Really a shame as I like this one VERY much from the screenshots.
Hope we can fix it.
The safest way:
1. Disable the existing dashboard and remove the directory /SITE/mod/riverdashboard/ and all files in it.
2. Download the plugin zip file and unzip it. You should see two directories in it -- friend_request and riverdashboard. upload them sparately. That means, the mod directory should have two separate folders -- riverdashboard and friend_request. Keep in mind that the friend_request plugin is optional. The riverdashboard can work very well without it. But, it adds one more functionality to your Elgg site.
3. Enable the riverdashboard from your Tools Administration page.
Make sure no other plugin has any conflict with this one.
Hope that helps.
I edited the line:
19 $dateStamp = elgg_view_friendly_time($mes->time_created);
to
19 $dateStamp = friendly_time($mes->time_created);
and now it works
I was wondering. Would you be able to make a
"recent logged in" for the sidebars?
Would make it very dynamic not only to see new members and who has visited the profile, but to see who has actually visited the community. I'd REALLY like that function
Yes, that can be done. I have done it on profile-pages before. Should't be a problem in this case either.
2. Recent members -- isn't it something you're talking about?
I have quite some ideas like removing the character limit, and some other. Just don't have time for it these days. :(
I can't get this to work AT ALL. I just have a blank white screen!
