Release Notes
Lockdown offers an on/off setting to allow or disallow users from registering a new account.
It's very early code and wasn't thoroughly tested. Especially the extent of the disable_registration configuration setting remains unknown.
Given away for inspiration and suggestions.

Where is this on/off setting supposed to appear?
This basically removes registration all together.Disable does not seem to work. The registration link does not come back. May want to fix that.

Does it work with the current version (September 4, 2012) which is 1.8.x?
@mec109 - this is built into the core settings in 1.8. Check your advanced settings page from your administration
