The Lorea admins plugin for Elgg 1.7.x is a drop-in replacement of admin_for_admins.

It implements a view at pg/admins/ to list the users who have the admin flag set to yes. The view is paginated and provides filtering by name and pagination for busy sites with lots of administrators.

Installation

1. Download the ZIP archive, then unzip it. It will create an elgg_admins/ folder in your current directory. 
2. Move that folder to the plugins folder and rename it admins. e.g., mv elgg_admins ~lorea/elgg/mod/admins
3. Activate the plugin from the Elgg Tool Administration interface. No configuration needed.

• Moar info! Who created the admin? When? Contact information? Roles and responsibilities? Activity history?
• Protect primary account  i.e., always keep at least an admin. This should be enforced in Elgg core's removeAdmin functionality.
• Fix UI: CSS for buttons suck
• Ajaxify! The filter-by-name and remove-admin functions should be done without reloading the page.
