The rate entities plugin was based on the rate plugin of Miguel Montes (http://community.elgg.org/pg/plugins/mmontesp/read/384429/rate-plugin).

- You have to set the permissions of rate_entities, through the plugin settings page, for each subtype of entity and links before start to use the plugin otherwise the rate_entities plugin will not allow the users evaluate the entities.

In resume: It is highly recommended to see and understand the plugin settings page before try to use It-

It provides a view that can be used for any elgg entity, you only have to pass the entity into its $vars array named as "entity".

The plugin has a example system who teaches how to do it. If you have some idea for the rate plugin or some bug to report, please let me know it.
